Fighting for a safe home, better life and fairer future for everyone.
We were founded to help people tackle the devastating effects of homelessness. Today, we also tackle the causes and consequences of poverty and inequality.

Monitored weekdays only, 9-4
A fresh start for one of our garden spaces

Thanks to Jenner Construction, who transformed this garden free of charge alongside staff and residents, and Fidelity International, whose grant funded the materials. This new outdoor space will help residents feel safe, relaxed in their recovery.

‘Last Christmas I was homeless, Porchlight saved my life.’

Chloe -June has an art degree and worked as a florist - she wants everyone to know that homelessness can affect anyone.

We’re incredibly grateful to her for designing this year’s Porchlight Christmas card.

The weather's getting worse again. Several councils are now offering emergency accommodation for people who are homeless. We’re working with these councils to get everyone inside. We're also carrying out welfare checks and handing out supplies - work which wouldn't be possible without your support.

“Last year was my worst Christmas. This year, I’m looking forward to putting up decorations and a tree."

Dan used to be homeless with his dog Bella. He’d wrap her in his jacket while worrying about how to keep them alive.

Thanks to you, they’re now safe and warm.

"I thought the minute I stood still would be the minute I wouldn’t wake up.”

Freezing temperatures make the nights dangerous, and the isolation can feel overwhelming while others celebrate together.

Spreading Christmas cheer for people experiencing homelessness in Dartford! There was a free meal, presents, music and more. We delivered dinners and gifts to anyone unable to attend.

This happened thanks to Dartford Council, St Edmunds Church, Steve Justin Roadshow, Beauty Banks and our volunteers

Sleeping on the streets can kill.

Each cold, damp night puts lives at risk.

Your donations helped two women leave the streets behind for good during the cold snap. One was sleeping in a ripped-up tent, the other was in a shopping centre. You paid for emergency shelter while we arranged for one woman to be given Porchlight housing and the other to move into a rental property

It’s #InternationalVolunteersDay 💜

We’re humbled that 105 people gave up their time to support our work this year. We couldn’t be more thankful.

They’ve changed lives and we couldn’t do what we do without them.
