About 2 or 3 months ago, I was also curious how long the original PS1 version took to get into the first battle. I also played the same way as you, talking to and interacting with everything, and it took me almost exactly 2 hours to get into the first battles.

I tried it awhile ago. Radical Dreamers would look like this (I know my screen is dirty 😭). The weird thing is that if I took a screenshot with the button, it looks perfectly fine in the Switch 2 album. Chrono Cross itself ran at what looked like 60fps to me but with everything in slow motion.

They're good, but they are missing bonus post-game content from the GBA releases (and most of that bonus content is questionable in quality). Also the PR version of FF3 is the only good version of that game lol.

I never had a ps2 growing up. I was the weird one with a family that had a GameCube and Xbox but no PS2.
