I made a chart showing GPU VRAM trends. Steam Hardware Survey from 2018. I didn't enter every single month as that would take forever. It doesn't add to 100% as there is an "others" section I didn't chart. Grouped some options to make it less cluttered.

Fancied mapo tofu since I saw it in another post. Eventually got ingredients to make it myself. Mistakes were made, but edible. Turns out the chili bean paste I used is very high in salt which is a bit much. Not sure I felt the tingle feeling from sichuan pepper before!

Some photos from earlier today, before and during the partial solar eclipse. First 3 are with a solar filter on normal camera. Last one is through a scope showing Hydrogen Alpha emissions. Was a last minute decision to try that so I didn't have a good time setting up.

A photo of Uranus! Was checking sky for aurora, got distracted by Pleiades. Uranus apparently close by. Top half is Stellarium showing what I should see, below is my photo of roughly same area. Not as fancy looking as aurora but that's another dot in the sky imaged.

Saw an old postcard of the view from Oliver's Mount, possibly from the 70's. Decided to go there today and see if I can get the same view. Weather was rather less clear. I got close but needed a small step to right to get the foreground exactly. Next time. Playing spot the difference now!

Went to check out Scarborough Skipping Day today. Didn't know about it last year so missed it. Also took the scenic route home.

Lots of people out and about on both bays today, myself included! It is feeling quite warm as long as you stay out of the wind.

Tried visualising dGPUs use by tier each gen. Trend 60 most popular, 70 growing. RDNA4 never sold enough to be useful to plot here. I should disclaim that only listed GPUs could be counted. Ones not making the cut to be individually listed means I can't see it.

Back from a weekend away gaming. Car windscreen got hit on way out so I have to arrange to be sorted, and clutch started playing up on way home. All going wrong!

Beach weather is back! Strangely productive day so far. Supermarket run. Long beach walk. Resealed my back door for suspected leaking. Edited and uploading 2 YouTube videos, as well as some gaming. I must be cold blooded. Now it isn't freezing I'm active again!
