I can still remember the day I bought this record. The cover, even the smell of it. It was so exciting. And it did not disappoint. This is one of my desert island discs. The entire album tells a story, start to finish. And what a finish!

It would be a fantastic single album. My favorite songs are Hitsville UK, One More Dub, Junco Partner, Ivan Meets G.I. Joe, Police on My Back, The Call Up, Washington Bullets, Charlie Don’t Surf. I’ve seen this record called London Calling’s ugly sister, that was brilliant.

I saw The Allman Brothers at the Riviera Theatre in Chicago in
‘96. This was the loudest concert I’ve ever been to. Seriously, people were passing out and my hearing was damaged. I love Blue Sky Ramblin’ Man, and Elizabeth Reed.
