Tyree is about a mute son of the Moon that wasn't supposed to exist. He strikes a deal to return Death's sword to her temple in hope of winning her favor and being turned human. It is inspired by pre-hispanic mesoamerica & deals w/ themes of grief, war, trauma, and discovering yourself. #tyreecomic

Yeah! I actually used to study the first chapter of sfeer theory quite a bit back when I was first learning to draw comics back in college. I still have the pages of crowded trolley ingrained in my unconscious cuz it reminded me that people exist outside of the narrative

Wanted from my own art. I was a pretty quiet follower over the years just admiring and studying and finding my own way too. Forgive me for sounding parasocial because that's not my intention but to me when watching artists over such a long period it has the same feeling as quietly watching a friend

Had hospitalization #4. Diagnosed with IIH after a lumbar puncture. Gotta do a whole other type of imaging since my colon is weird & im still bleeding & got pain and other issues. Struggling to afford transportation.

And then ofc thos entire medical nightmare of a year and everyone being kind enough to help me stay afloat and survive it. It's been extremely difficult and humiliating bit im grateful.

I had to have a total hysto in 2020 because my uterus decided i was just so trans it wanted to peace out. I also had pcos and such severe endometriosis it was strangling my organs and connecting them. The surgeon told mom it was inevitable & getting it done then saved me.

I am literally alive because of social media. It has helped my career, given me friends, helped me grow as an artist. But I literally would very likely be dead if people had not kindly helped me afford a surgery in 2020 and again helping me this year w/ my medical crisis.

Miyazaki survived the bombing of Utsunomiya as a child. His family escaped in a car, but left a neighbor and her daughter behind to save themselves. Miyazaki regrets this, and said this has stayed with him and shaped his film making. He hopes his audience will learn the courage he lacked in 1945.

I genuinely miss working with printers tho ngl. My favorite jobs ive had! Hated the customers but loved the work.

At a shop i worked at we had a big boy printer that was really fussy. You had to load it incorrectly and then correctly for it to read the paper. It refused to read the paper if you did it correctly the 1st time and would jam repeatedly and basically throw a massive tantrum

I worked both with big ass printer in college, retail printers for staples, and then printers for an independent print shop and can confirm they are all sentient

He's one of the few doctors I truly trust among my care and feel like is on my side and doesn't see me as a chronic whiner

Colon that he wasnt able to see during the colonoscopy to 100% rule out chrons or IBD or anything else. He also is likely going to help me get things going with my neurologist to try and evaluate why the lumbar puncture had such an impact and if my gi issues are actually related to that

Made it clear that he wants to at least help me manage symptoms to improve my life even if we dont have a proper diagnosis beyond "very severe possible ibs". He hasn't pushed me aside at all & is having me try new meds & im to do this weird fancy ct scan to give him access to the part of my -

all discourse aside, there is one machine with consciousness. it's printers. they are alive and conscious and they hate you and they'd take your arm clean off if you let them. never trust a printer.
