What's the proper UI for this automation option on the online version of the board game I'm playing? We have 4 different somewhat technical precise behaviors that a user needs to choose from. A drop-down is more informative, easier to use, and more compact than any other option.
A drop-down from the boardgamearena.com implementation of Gaia Project. A "Power Income" setting has a drop-down with 4 options: -Always ask -Always gain power before charging -Always gain power after charging -Prioritize charging without wasting charge.

By comparison, our knowledge of the various civilizations that have come and gone across the Americas is quite limited. In regions where human activity was the most intense, dense and inaccessiple jungles now block the way. But more important. whatever written documents were present among the many Mayan and Incan civilizations were virtually all destroyed by the conquistadors in the sixteenth century and the aggressive missionary movement that followed. The Dresden Codex, then. is an outlier, the only surviving written record from the Mayan empire ca. the fourteenth century CE. Johann Christian Götze, director of the Royal Library in Dresden, Germany, purchased it from a private owner in Vienna, Austria, in 1739. Archaeological studies of unique symbols in the seventy-eight-page codex suggest it may have been written near Chichen Itza on the Yucatán Peninsula. There is also evidence that the residents there were conversant in sophis- ticated astronomical information by 1200. From previous image): The codex includes astronomical tables for Venus and the Moon, including information about lunar and solar eclipses. The Venus tables describe the movements of Venus through 65 synodic pe- riods for this planet (584 days for each), of which the Mayans were keen observers. Venus was asso- ciated with the god Kulkulkan, and its apparitions in the sky were used to plan wars. In addition to tables of ritual schedules and astrological informa- tion, the codex includes a ritual cycle of 260 days called a tzolk`in, which is a non-astronomical cycle formed from the product of 13 months of 20 days each. For the Maya, their religious celebration days were crucial. but since the solar year is 365.25 days, which they called the haab, they had to correct for this accumulating difference over time just as we add an extra day to February every four years. To make this correction, they used the movements and sightings of Venus. Space is above us no matter where we are on Earth, of course. This codex is a one-of-a-kind win- dow into how we understood astronomy up to this point in the western half of the world.

The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in DC did a neat thing where a lot of the side chapels and art are dedicated to different international titles of Mary, so there's wide variation in style and depictions of her and Jesus, all under one roof.

This is the longest I've managed to stick with a project, but I can feel my energy on it slipping. And I really don't want this to be another item on the pile of half-finished plans. I can see the first "done" step ahead, but it feels further away every time I pick this up.
