✅ Started restoring grassland into species-rich meadows – By changing mowing practices to 'cut and collect', we’re encouraging native wildflowers and grasses to grow, supporting pollinators and wider biodiversity, making the park a more interesting place to explore.

Lovely morning spent with Porthkerry Wildlife Group at Porthkerry Country Park, Barry. A personal highlight was seeing this Red-girdled Mining Bee (Andrena labiata) - a species I rarely see in Wales!

27 species at Porthkerry last night under the gaze of a huge moon. Lovely spring goodies including Mocha, Scorched Carpet, Purple Thorn, Waved Umber, Maiden's Blush, Water Carpet & a surprise Rusty-dot Pearl.

The temperature dropped quickly under clear skies - home before midnight.
