TIL that ancient Chinese people did not have underpants with crotches until way later than you'd think. Even when they wore trousers, the trousers were just two shafts of fabric that were tied directly to the wearer's legs as per pic (source: www.dpm.org.cn/collection/e...).

Discovering that you can take breaks from your job to write full-time is kinda like when you first discovered you could eat ice-cream for breakfast.
