Call the Midwife springs to mind. Also, I just googled 'British films set in 1950s' to see which I had seen, and was amazed and thrilled to discover Chicken Run is one the BFI reccomends 😂🐔! Set in the 50s apparently!

£45 a day, Saturdays, Sundays, bank holiday Mondays. I walked around the store and after customers had sat on a sofa I would plump the cushions back up - there were 4 of us in every store. Best job I ever had! 😄
