Spot on. The experts suggested 10 would be enough. I don’t think it will as the modelling wouldn’t expect so many top teams to drop so many points, hence there are more points distributed across the middle that some on 10 or 11 will get knocked out so losing 7 is a risk. Need a draw and win I think.

3/5 excellent performances, 1 nightmare and last night below par, as a team learning in the UCL, 2 wins, 2 draws and a defeat shows improvement. BR is right Brugge are a more experienced team than us in Europe and that’s a game we’d have lost before. We’re getting there.

That’s certainly a problem but the biggest one, that they just ignore, is the £millions it will cost Celtic as they want to takeover the main hospitality restaurant. They’re kidding themselves unless they find a solution to that.

So the SFA are responsible for where we are. As you get promoted to play better teams you then have to offset those matches with easier friendlies against beatable teams. Poor planning by the SFA not to have seen the jeopardy built into the qualifying and ranking process.

Any business can continue trading so long as they maintain funding, and they’ve been very good at finding donors (they’re not investors). I suspect they’re also getting their big losses out the way before the FSR thresholds fall, previously 85%, it’s going to get much harder at 70%.

So in the end promotion to Group A Nations League actually hurt us as inevitably results are poorer against better teams. I see other countries talking about it also. What’s the point of a competition where it pays to selectively lose?🤔
