otherwise one of my friends spoiled me and gifted me caves of qud (and its DLC)??? i've been buzzing about it since 1.0 dropped and i've been playing it all night. it's so different from what i usually play but i've been having a blast tbh. also just really in love with the prose at points

been playing various games this week! primarily fields of mistria, although i've found i'm increasingly disenchanted with how it just refuses to have... conflict? to the point of not even having character flaws, really? it's an enjoyable game, but i have zero investment in the characters as a result

been playing fields of mistria for the first time and instantly got obsessed with march. he's so cute??? 💙🎮

final demo for the night was MiSide, which i had picked up on a whim during steam next fest. definitely not a game i'd normally play, but i still finished the demo? i think it was fine, but ultimately not a game i'd pick up. 💙🎮

another demo i played tonight was KILL THE WITCH. this one i was actually feeling pretty into? i enjoyed the premise, and it's excellent stylistically. just wasn't feeling the combat as much, but otherwise i'll still follow updates on the game and see how i feel about it. 💙🎮

played a few different demos tonight. one was lunavania, which i picked up on a whim because the style of it looked lovely, and i appreciated that it had a few more systems to it, so combat wasn't the exclusive focus. anyway, i mostly just confirmed that i'm not really into metroidvania.

tonight i played the demo for winter burrow! incredibly cute (but still challenging) survival game that i instantly wishlisted as soon as i completed the demo. i can't wait until i can play more... i'm so charmed. 💙🎮

tonight i played the demo for marron's day! cute and made me feel very nostalgic for gen 1 pokemon games. i did desperately wish i could run in the game, though, and i did encounter issues with the button mapping on steam deck. 💙🎮

tonight, i picked up the demo for decollate decoration! the demo was definitely short, but i enjoyed the style a lot (and what little we saw of the writing), and i think i'll pick up the full game when it releases on steam. 💙🎮
