Some thoughts on the past year as it comes to a close. Here's to hoping we all have a great #2026.
As 2025 comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to reflect, if that's cool with you guys. On a personal level, 2025 was hell. On top of the world just going to shit in one form or fashion, this past year has been one of both wild changes and yet the same bullshit in a new coat of paint. From constant money troubles, changes in some friendships and relationships, and the general exhaustion that is life these days, I've just been miserable and have been eagerly been awaiting this year to be over with. But on a "professional" level, if you want to call the podcast professional, we've arguably had our best year yet. Celebrating huge milestones like 200 episodes and 5 years of podcasting, guests both new and returning coming on for some of the best conversations we've had on the podcast, amazing extra content like vlogs and the Posty Awards, all of that was this year, and it's so weird to wrap my head around that. This year has certainly been something else, and I couldn't have done it without you guys. I couldn't have done it without the amazing guests like Lythero, Seth Kearsley, Brock Baker, Jakeneutron, Milk In The Microwave, and too many more to list, for giving me their time for some really genuine conversation that I'm lucky to have. Thank you to the community, both new and old, for showing the love to these guests and this podcast and helping it grow like never before. And thank you to my friends for the constant motivation and appreciation you give, it really helps no matter what. I want to do more in 2026. I don't have a solid plan in place for what to do or what more looks like, but I just want to do more. I feel like the guests this year was a good example of that, as well as the bonus stuff. I just love this too much to not want more, especially in a world that is seemingly under seige for no good reason, with A/I and corporate mergers threatening art like never before. Whatever "more" is, I hope you guys continue to show that love and support, not just to me and the podcast, but to the guests and the people within the community. Now is the best time to be there for them, to help us all grow and truly live our best lives. Thank you. Here's to 2026.
