two I’m happiest with recently were taken seconds apart on the same street
evil car. car that’s evil. I think it’s a Bentley or a Rolls-Royce? whatever it is it’s black with a thin pinstripe and is sitting menacingly in the dark in front of a Victorian terrace house lit by two sconces either side of the door. all the light is yellow-to-orange and it feels expensive and threatening view down a cobbled back street at dusk - you can see the chimneys of the big houses silhouetted against the dark cloudy sky and the mid ground where the focus is is lit by one street lamp that’s illuminating a quite pretty set of houses with interestingly geometric windows and glass bricks

the other thing I did recently was swap the colours of DPM and flecktarn to harm people who saw it
DPM but with flecktarn colours. it looks sick. like if fabric could get anaemia flecktarn with DPM colours. harder because there’s one fewer colour so there’s big blocks of green but it actually looks pretty good - weirdly reminiscent of vegetato

today I have discovered that for a second when it launched the National Crime Agency had at least one marked car, which I’m presuming they stopped using out of embarrassment, because it looks like a shit minicab
the saddest car in all the world. a very school run type black Mercedes 4x4, complete with roof rack, with an NCA logo on the front door, a vintage 2010s ‘here’s what a police service is’ mission statement/wordmark that starts on the back door and goes on for so long it hangs over the rear axle, and a band of silitoe tartan on the bottom. it’s parked on the pavement of a suburban street and it is giving me depression same again but with a guy being led into it. one of the guys escorting him is wearing the admittedly sick jacket though so it sort of evens out

Basically what happened was the gas we smelled was from our neighbour's gas regulator leaking, in the course of fixing that the hot engineer found ours was also leaking, in the course of fixing that they found a tiny leak coming from this fire, which does not signify and is not dangerous but they could not cap because instead of putting a bracket in to put a 90 degree bend in the pipe when fitting it they just BENT THE PIPE 90 DEGREES so they couldn't seal it, which means no gas and therefore no hot water until we can get someone in to rip the floor up to fix it Which is going to be some number of days
