took a little unplanned hiatus to focus on my health, the holidays, and family, (especially as we prepare for a big change this week…) but I love the community on this app and am here to stay! I’ll start interacting more either this week or next week - I promise I’m not ignoring anyone☺️🩷

@stephaniestuff.swifties.social sent me the sweetest package yesterday🥰 she personalized my bracelets, and she even threw in so many thoughtful surprises! i am so thankful, as it truly means SO much to me🥹 she really has a heart of gold💖

update: they loved them!🥰 one of my favorite nurses wasn’t working that day, but she told my assigned nurse (who was also super sweet) to say hello and to tell me that she still wears her bracelet i gave her a few months ago every day. i love this tradition i started so much🥹🩷

Approximately half of them include the name of the hospital system, and the other half say IR Squad (IR stands for interventional radiology). The bracelets vary in sizes and shades of gold, light blue, light pink, light purple, and black. The letter beads are white, circular, and have gold upper case letters on them. On my hand, I wrote with a black sharpie “Thank you!” + “gift for you” with an arrow pointing at the bracelets. A white hospital identification bracelet is also visible, but the private details are covered with a digital white marker tool. 7 bracelets neatly displayed on a brown, wooden table. The bracelets include the following words: IR Squad (3) and Inova (4). IR stands for intervention radiology, and Inova is the name of the hospital system I had my procedure at. The colors of the bracelets vary. The following colors are visible: light pink, light purple, light blue, gold, and black. Some of the bracelets have beads with hearts or smiley faces on them. The letter beads are white, circular, and have gold upper case letters on them. (With the exception of one bracelet that has gold circular beads with black upper case letters.)

surgeries may suck, but at least they give me a reason to make more friendship bracelets! i started this tradition the other year when i was hospitalized during the eras tour, and i’ve continued it ever since! i highly recommend, as the smiles on my nurses faces are absolutely priceless☺️🩷
A gray felt bracelet board with several bead compartments and measurement marks. 6 bracelets are in the process of being made. The top three are censored, as they show my hospital name. The bottom 3 say “IR Squad” (IR stands for Interventional Radiology). A roll of clear elastic string is also placed on the board. In the background, there are several bead containers placed on a wooden table. The bead colors on the board vary between shades of gold, translucent pink, translucent blue, lilac, red, and dark green. A clear cup with daisies on it is full of thank you bracelets for hospital employees. There is also a note that reads: Thank you to everyone who is helping me during my surgery recovery! Please feel free to take one of these bracelets that I made to show my appreciation. There are a variety of colors and sizes. I am so thankful for all of your continuous hard work and kindness (not only towards me, but for all of your patients). You guys change lives every day, and it does not go unnoticed! This note not only applies to nurses, but also technicians, doctors, physicians assistants, physical therapists, nutritionists, housekeepers, patient transport, etc. Every single person and their job is important! when the deluxe cd’s for ttpd came out, i saw quite a few people putting their photo cards on display in a mini typewriter. i found these on amazon… but if anyone has specific brands/models they recommend, pictures of their display, or advice… it would be greatly appreciated. thank you!🤍🪶
