My friend @imscribblemouse.bsky.social custom framed my poster from the Chicago Film Society screening of Tokyo Drift at @musicboxtheatre.bsky.social , one of the most memorable theater experiences I've ever had, due to the inclusion of Routemaster beforehand. Had to get that poster ON SIGHT.

New BFFs
The Monster High dolls Honey Swamp and Twyla, laying on the floor next to each other in cute poses that evoke floating. They are both pastel and kind of match! Honey has teal and pink color scheme and Twyla has a teal and lavender color scheme. You can especially see their contrast with Honey's pink shoes against her teal skin and Twyla's teal shoes against her lavender skin. They both have short girly floral dresses. I have a love of Monster High and I did it...I got the one who plays tabletop games.

Text from the essay: "But that cat, that sweet old tom, he had to go." A roughly drawn comic on lined paper. Likely an exersize that was party of writing the short story. It has three panels. First titled Look At Me: two men hold each other, looking concerned. Second titled The Dogs: a man pointing a gun at a dog. Third titled Try To Ignore: Men cringing on the other side of a block of ice, hearing the dogs being shot.

Cleaning out my old room at my parent's house and finally found the creative writing assignment I got freshman year of high school where we had to write something inspired by The Odyssey.

I wrote Ernest Shackleton fanfic, essentially.
A photo of an essay titled Thoughts Beside the James Caird. A story About the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1914 to 1917). It is marked with teacher's corrections, and says the following: The wind was chilling. It had always been there: Strong, icy winds that never seemed to let up. It was as if this wind was the only thing that Ernest Shackleton knew. Well, Perhaps it was, Considering that he and his crew had been braving this harsh punishment for over a year. He had memorized its scent, its feel, its taste. He saw nothing the gusts blinded him. But the wind was with him, too. It was the wind that brought him here, to South Georgia Island as he rode on the lifeboat, the James Caird, with hand-picked men. The wind led him as he led them across the tireless ocean, the rest of his crew waiting hopefully on Elephant Island. These men were counting on him. They wanted to live. They wanted to survive. He wouldn't let a single one die. This was his new mission, now that his dreams to be the first to cross the South Pole were nonexistent. Shackleton, being the "Ultimate Leader", would not give up. He was an explorer, a man of expeditions. This was his life. He leaned against the fired frame of the James Caird as John prepared what meager dish they could make to satiate their hunger. He remembered his ship, his beautiful ship, the Endurance. He saw her slowly be crushed and engulfed by the hungry ice. The men salvaged what they could as her glory was demolished in a slow, painful gulp. It had taken what...seven, eight months for the ship's drift to end in destruction? The crew had watched with melancholy hearts, holding on to their belongings as some of their hope sunk softly. A teacher's note on the essay that says "Homeric, sort of"
