Father of a legend. Teacher of small humans. The world is quiet here.
I think it depends where you go. The first time they went was to Aviemore, everything’s basically near the station there. Lots of nice walks, a steam railway etc. The second time was Fort William where they rented a car and stayed in a holiday cottage on Skye.

My sister and her husband took their kids on the Caledonian Sleeper up to Scotland for a week. They had a great time exploring and the fact you’re sleeping on a train makes it a real adventure.

I’m beyond excited by this! Can’t wait!

When used as a verb, as in to horse around, perhaps the past tense should be hearse. Especially if one has done so a little too foolhardily, resulting in an untimely demise.

Great news for console players! Just thinking about what to play next on PC and wondered if there was any news on Wintermute Episode 5? Can we expect it this side of the new year or is 2026 more likely? I'm really in the mood for TLD but will hold off for now if its still going to be a while longer.

While I wholeheartedly love that this is most certainly true and a very pertinent observation, I remain deeply disturbed by the thought of such a dial. 😳 *inwardly shudders* I fully recognise that this is a almost certainly a me problem. 🤪

With the current ‘five party system’, and the very real threat of the far right, surely now might be a good time to change the voting system? Some kind of single transferable vote for each constituency where we could rank candidates in order of preference. Progressive parties still outnumber reform.

I don’t personally hear much about games people dislike but I hear you. A work colleague of mine often tells me about what he’s been enjoying playing and I share the same. I absolutely LOVE Satisfactory and have just started The Farmer Has Been Replaced. I also love Manor Lords and Factorio.

After visiting The Centre for Computing History in Cambridge and reliving my childhood playing Lemmings on an old Acorn Archimedes I discovered www.neolemmix.com. Not exactly what you’re describing but well worth downloading for some nostalgia.

Very much appreciated. I’ve written to her a couple of times. I’m sure you can imagine how pointless it was.

Faversham is mostly Lib Dem voting. We’re sick of the flags here too.

Is it the same Harry Hilden at the bottom of this article? www.kentonline.co.uk/sittingbourn...
Rival gangs jailed after violent train station clash

It’s not pleasant that’s for sure. Unfortunately it only takes a small number of people prepared to go to some rather extreme ends to grab some attention. I’m truly heartened however that Faversham residents make it clear today that they are very much in the minority.

That laugh at the end as well. 😳

So pleased to see this. The good people of Faversham showing their true colours.

Yes, I did kind of hope someone would go out and put up a whole bunch of other flags of different counties etc on all the other lamposts. They spray painted the pedestrian crossings and roundabouts with red paint too but apparently nobody on the far right knows how to draw a straight line.

When they went up on lamp posts where I live, this was literally the first thing that went through my mind. The flag has become a symbol of the far right because aside from sporting events, it is most often seen draped over the shoulders of thugs spouting hate.

Best opening word to a book I’ve read since waking up this morning, and I’m not even commuting.
