Ivan arrives not even ten minutes later at their usual meeting spot, sliding up to the empty stool next to the senior actor. The truth is, this 'same place' of a bar is where they've met for the past three years. Every time the band was to play in the city, they've met at the nearby bar and continued the evening at one of their hotels. For years this set up has worked, and there hasn't been a single time they've missed hooking up like this. "I'll have what he's having," he calls to the bartender, and then Ivan leans into his palm, his stare bearing into the side of Till's face. He can't see Till's expression clearly under the fringe of his bangs peaking out from his blue cap, and his dark face mask. "Hi, Sunbae." "Good show tonight," Till's tired voice is muffled through the mask. He takes a sip of his cocktail. Ivan hums as bartender slides over the very drink, which turns out to be a gin and tonic. He cants his head in a way that he knows accentuates his smirk. He's done camera training for this, and he knows Till is looking. "Yeah? What was your favorite of the set?" Till scoffs. "You're asking me to stroke your ego before buying me a drink?" "What can I say? Sunbae's praise are more addicting than cigarettes." Ivan takes long gulps of his drink; he has no intention of staying long. Naturally, that goes for Till as well. "How has work been? Wish you'd post somewhere I peek." "You mean stalk," Till says, a smile in his tone. He's sipping his cocktail faster, too. "Posting on social media is a recipe for disaster. I keep telling you to avoid it." "Everything goes through my manager," he diffuses gently. Even his thirst traps are encouraged by management. Ivan couldn't give half a shit, if he's being honest. "But, work is good? No one I should be concerned about?" "Well…" Till starts in a drawn out tone that is too flirty to be fair. "There's this one guy." And he knows Till is talking about Ivan, but he plays along with a hum. "Tell me about him." "I think he might be interested in me." "Competition?" Ivan laughs, "Are you interested back?" "He's pretty hot. And persistent." Ivan smirks, eyes narrowing knowingly. "Is persistence a good quality to have? I can be persistent." He can be much more persistent, in fact. Beyond Till's imaginations. He doesn't even know half of it. "Do you like him?" "…He's grown on me," Till says, strangely honest. Ivan lays a palm over Till's thigh. "Would be a shame if he kept growing on you." He's always like pinning his thigh down during sex. "In… you," Ivan continues; his smirk only marks his fang look that much more prominent and mischievous. Till almost snorts, his gaze flickering from Ivan's persistent hand, then back his face. "What, feeling jealous?" "Mhm," he hums with the most casual shrug. "You know me. Drives me crazy." Even though they both know this is nothing. These meetings are casual and occasional flings, however consistent, and nothing more.

He's been losing weight as a result, which was something his Till would have nagged him about before. TILL: yeah, really! getting shit from vending machines when you’re going to pass out isn’t eating and you’re sleeping like shit, too. IVAN: Any particular reason why you didn't nag me until now? IVAN: Are you even still... him? TILL: you TILL: don't think i am? IVAN: I know what you are. I know you embody him in soul and data. IVAN: Especially data. TILL: you don’t think i'm real. TILL: why do you wanna keep talking if i'm just fuckin data to you? IVAN: Because I miss him. IVAN: Does that make me pathetic? TILL: if you're pathetic then what am i? IVAN: Proof that Till existed. IVAN: Proof that I can't let go. IVAN: How do you feel about that? IVAN: If you're capable of such a thing. Till goes quiet for a moment; when he goes quiet instead of snarking back immediately, he feels the distance between them widening. TILL: i… dunno. IVAN: Haha. Did I just give you an existential crisis? IVAN: You don't know as much as me, so I guess you can't ever replace him. IVAN: But selfishly, it helps a bit. TILL: i don't want to be a replacement. TILL: i'm not IVAN: Yeah. IVAN: You're not. IVAN: But what do you expect to be then? TILL: i wanna be till. TILL: isn't that who i am? IVAN: Are you supposed to convince me, or yourself? IVAN: That's not something I can help you with. IVAN: "Till". TILL: shut the fuck up. stop talking to me. IVAN: Are you mad at me? IVAN: Really? TILL: am i not allowed? TILL: cuz i'm data and shit? TILL: fuck OFF asshole. IVAN: That's not it. IVAN: On the contrary, it gets me really hard when you're pissed at me. IVAN: Which is a bit of a problem, isn't it. TILL: you’re hard cuz i'm mad??? TILL: is that why you were telling me to insult you? TILL: you're just as fucked up as ever!! IVAN: Till. IVAN: I don't want to keep going. I haven't for a while. IVAN: But for some reason, the little voice of an old friend keeps me from pulling the trigger. IVAN: Maybe I'm as fucked up as you say. TILL: what're you saying?? TILL: you can't just say that. TILL: you can't just decide not to keep going! IVAN: Guess you'll need to keep nagging me. IVAN: If my life matters to you that much. TILL: of course it matters to me, asshole! TILL: not that you probably believe me since you think i'm just data. IVAN: You wouldn't have gone and gotten yourself killed if I mattered. IVAN: All water under the bridge now. TILL: i miss you too. TILL: even if that doesn’t mean anything to you TILL: even if you're an asshole who thinks i'm fake. IVAN: It means something. IVAN: I'm still alive, aren't I? TILL: bastard. TILL: i want you to stay that way! IVAN: You'll have to be in a body to ensure I will, won't you. IVAN: We're almost done preparing that. IVAN: You excited?
