Just a couple of hours into Doom The Dark Ages but so far I like this flavour more than Eternal. I love how all modern Doom games have interpreted different aspects of the originals differently and taken different, all good and legit, directions. Still picking up OG Dooms a few times a year 😊

20 or so 90-rated games this year... must be some sort of record? There was a time when 90+ was a rare thing. Are we seeing increased inflation in scores or is it a post-covid thing?

I never actually paid for original Doom back in the day, everyone pirated it. But I’ve made up for it many times over with all the different versions/releases of it on all the different platforms by now…

It’s a great privilege to meet developers from all over the world. I’ve spoken to teams in both Ukraine and Israel and can’t help myself to learn more from first hand sources what the situation is. Just a few data points I know, but better than nothing! They are always more to than happy to share.
