Fruit cakes ready for delivery! @dawdling-sphinx.bsky.social has made gluten free vegan fruit cake for fam and friend for several years and I never tire of it. They even candy most of the fruit themselves, so tasty!

This maple log has been in timeout for something like two years (too knotty) and has grown this mushroom stuff, I believe the tendril/ runner things are part of the fungus. I have seen the runners in decomposing cedar before but not so much the glob part…
Any one know who they are?

New here. Little bit about myself, I live in the woods with my family running a pottery studio and pickling veg. Trying to figure out how to garden… playing with ollas this year, maybe they will help my tubers grow. Now just gotta win against the slugs…
