Whilst not being at all surprised if this is true, I'm not sure relying on the Daily Mail as a source is a good idea, it has a reputation for being somewhat disconnected from truth/reality/integrity. It supported fascism in the 1930s and does a very good job of appearing to still do so.

Not "radical left" (that's a meaningless invention of sick minds like Turmp) - you mean just "centre" or "centre left". "Radical left" would be Trotskyites et al, and there are very few of them around.
