I have three rules:
We take care of ourselves
We take care of each other
We take care of this place.
Everything in life falls under one of those rules. Voting Blue for example. Retired ECE, artist, vaquera, peaceful human.

Hello there, I mainly post photos of my life on and off the grid, in a small fishing village, on a ranch in the heart of the Baja peninsula. I’m also an advocate for little humans, protector of living things. My photos can provide escape from the craziness. Saludos!
Simple pleasures. I’ve been offline for a bit, soaking up life in real time.

What do you see when you open your front door?

Stopped to move a cold snake off the road. Took a pic just before it spat out the biggest hiss and shot like a projectile into the space between the front seats of our truck. Husband shouting, GRAB IT GRAB IT! Not sticking my hand down there, sorry snake. 6hrs later…

I like to say that the first five minutes of the morning sets the mood for the day. I’m a little late to be your first five, but doing my best to lend a hand.

Smoke signals. I groom these mules every day, but you’d never believe it come dinner time.

The old ranch house may have fallen down but the kitchen is still put to use. Hot water for coffee and a warm tortilla ready for a late riser. Buenos días!

Audiobooks count as reading, correct? I LOVE the feel and smell of a real book, but I feel guilty if I sit down with one, thinking of everything else I should be doing. Audiobooks allow me to keep up with chores and “read” at the same time. Muck out the corral, haul water? No problem!

I made this piece for a music festival’s back stage area. The theme was Insects, Bugs, Rock n Roll. It was after 45s first election and I couldn’t keep my political views to myself. It’s a Dung Beetle, saving the planet one piece of poop at a time.

My mula Dani befriends two little Pancho Villas after today’s Revolution Day Parade. Dani loves little humans.

Rode my mula Dani into town today in preparation for tomorrow’s Revolution Day Parade.

Buenos días! The joy of taking in the sunrise on a mountain top, while reclining on a perfectly positioned rock chair can’t be beat. We had the best views that day. The sun rose over the Sea of Cortez, then it set over Pacific Ocean seen in the background. Dos por uno.

No gif, so a screenshot will have to do. My boyfriend from Jr college and I had an agreement, if we parted this would be us. We parted ways, this didn’t happen, but it was always in the back of my mind…until he voted for T in 2016. Still my favorite movie though.

My home is a remodeled field station in Baja. During reconstruction I had only one request, a science/book shelf for little humans.

Everyone is welcome. Come sit with us and watch the tide reach our palm frond stick. No talking necessary, just listen to the waves as the tide comes in.

My mules are my therapy. This is the face my therapist made when I told her about Trump’s cabinet nominees. My feelings exactly.
