This is gorgeous! Midjourney or are you using a different tool?

I was working on an art deco design in Midjourney and somewhat serendipitously created a take in Elphaba that's now one of my favorite pieces. No where as detailed a prompt as yours.

Love the aesthetic of that steampunk design. Great composition. I've played with that a bit too, but mine leaned more into steampunk erotica. Haven't posted any of those yet.

Nice, thanks. I use Midjourney sometimes but I mostly use SeaArt now. I'll use its AI apps to do some editing and then I also use GIMP fairly often to make color adjustments and some manual editing.

You have to choose which AI to use, know how they're trained, check facts on anything important, and be ready to switch if one develops an ideological slant. I'm generally more concerned about biased in training, such as racial and gender biases introduced by not balancing for that in training data.

This is a horrible decision, but not surprising considering the MAGA takeover of CBS. If the experts disagree with you, villify the experts as "elite" and "out of touch" with the average man. As if "common sense" is as valid as years of rigorous study. Republicans want us stupid. Easier to fool.

Thanks! I normally use SeaArt but for this one I used Midjourney (they each have their strengths). I then edited it in GIMP to fix the problems in the original AI image like color balance and lighting, AI goofs, etc.

The use of color in that piece is beautiful. May I ask what tools you use? Do you do much editing of the pieces in Photoshop (or equivalent, I use GIMP) to make them ready for view?

I haven't seen much in the way of rational thought behind the posts against AI. I don't agree with the ways in which LLMs were trained and we need to find ways to get their energy consumption down, but that doesn't negate the fact that they are useful when used properly.

Definitely. I've been experimenting with different ways to interact with AIs for various tasks. It's useful for kick-starting the creative process by quickly brainstorming ideas.

That's very cool. Is that all from a single prompt or is it a composite of multiple Midjourney images?

I use AI to assist with fiction writing as well as image generation. The blind hatred for that is especially fierce. I'd like to lean on it less, but it's a great help getting ideas down while I work on my craft. I do a lot of creative refinement to both the images and prose they help me create.

Meet Sheba. I got the blanket for Christmas. The cats on it are apparently a signal. I may never leave this couch.

Brandon Sanderson is FANTASTIC! Mistborn is one of my favorite series. Such a unique magic system. I'm working my way through The Stormlight Archive now. Also an amazing series, but getting to be as many characters to follow as Wheel of Time.

Just met ya! (or your profile, at least). Besides... my husband might see this. 😏 Have a happy new year!
