Day 2 of Conversation Tours brought us to Logging: field to finish. This covered timber cutting, rough cutting, and finishing into hardwood floors. Had a blast, and learned a lot. I never realized how automated and FAST some of these operations could be.

This year's annual conversation tour took @novarain.bsky.social and I to the zoo. It was a day learning about conservation practices (such as their composting operations and LEED building process), but also seeing all the animals!
