Global citizen. We are in an age where algorithms are propaganda, votes are machine guns and social media the front lines. Techno-billionaires aspire to Darth Vader in literal sense who want to control our destiny. Vive la resistence!

People used to compare Elon Must to Iron Man. He now is more like Darth Varde. Literally.

Trump, obviously, is the emperor
Hahahahaha

Who’s surprised?

You chose Trump to control immigration and inflation because he didn’t care when bluffed. You confused brazen with confidence. Now you get some oligarchs who got behind the scene to systematically tear off what US forefathers built to protect you. You are fool. Yet you confuse that with cool.

I hope the legislatures of the remaining free countries get this fast, if we want to avoid the fate of a global techno- tyranny
It should not about the videos but the algorithms that push them to targeted user. The former can be broadly categoried as "free speech" but the latter definitely editing, if not outright propaganda. X should be forced to hand over the algorithms on national security grounds. This is life and death.

Michael Saylor: (the purpose of bitcoin) is to become rich and stay rich forever.

It's true. It's for him and other about 150,000 people who owns 92% of bitcoin to stay rich FOREVER.

Think about this when you buy a bitcoin next time
November 24, 2024 at 4:51 PM
A look at bitcoin distribution made me really scared. 152,043 addresses own 82.14% of all bitcoin, in which 14,310 do ~60% of them. You cannot increase supply.

That means, if the grand scheme of making bitcoin a government reserve, the 152,043 people will in effect control 82% of the world'e wealth

Agree.
Jay: I think social media should be basically common infrastructure that society gets to use and evolve it as society evolves, building a more democratic form of social media to reflect a democratic society.

What struck me most was that the worlds super riches talk about "anti""elite" as if themselves are not, about destroying the "machine" as if they didn't become rich BECAUSE OF it. As if the whole rich world doesn't rest upon the infrastructure that they now vow to rid.

Everyone who joined lately should listen to Jay Graber’s vision here. My take: nothing as grand as colonising Mars but everything as important for us to avoid self-destructing.
