We need to increase the attitude toward serving our nation. A mandatory Civic service, which includes our armed forces and our reserves. Two years for every 18 year-old or high school graduate. With all kinds of nation building expectations.

And seafood, let’s not forget seafood. We can lead the world in sustainable seafood harvesting practises and become far more resilient in our food security at the same time.

All excellent initiatives, thank you. Please realize, though, that in small towns across Canada, there is zero public transportation. Running a car costs a lot of money, and isn’t for everyone. For small towns to prosper, we must have viable public transportation. Start with buses, move on to rail.

Build additional rail lines with our mining and metals. To move materials and to move workers, travelers, and tourists throughout the nation, coast to coast to coast.

We need faster, more regular trains, coast to coast to coast. We need to prioritize passenger trains over freight trains. Envision a connected population across the geographical middle of Canada, with rail linking Labrador to Northern BC and territories, with the South.

While we are “building big” please give us relief in the transportation sector.1. Prioritize passenger trains over freight trains on the same lines, and subsidize the rates like you did with the Atlantic ferries. 2. Drive down the price of new and used cars, for example with Chinese imports.

It was a Distraction of course.

Thank you! I recently used the St John/ Digby ferry and the lower cost was a financial relief.

Public transportation subsidy is a powerful incentive to behavioural change. If sleeper berths could be cheaper on rail, I would shift my use there as well. Sleeping in a chair? No thanks.

Please tell America that the reason Canadians are not visiting, is because we are terrified of the border agents. Not because we don’t want to spend money there. We love America- we just hate feeling terrified at a border crossing.

C’est tous important, mais l’immolation des droits l’homme est en cours aux Etats Unis. Le Canada a besoin de réponse. Pourqois et-tu silencieux?

And the cbc has just documented the rise of hate groups posing as “active clubs” preparing for civil warfare. We may be relatively safe as long as you’re Prime Minister, but as soon as a Prime Minister sympathetic to the white, nationalist, Christian, anti-gay faction gains power, we are lost.

Dude, you are one insightful guy. I want you to look at Al Franken. Look at his trajectory, and what took him down. Keep yourself clean my friend, you’re likely to go very far, but keep yourself safe. There are folks that don’t like what you’re saying, and may start pushing back in a personal way.

Sowing fear is not his only goal. Empowerment of a population, and the creation of millions of indentured servants is also a goal.

I just started reading your book “value(s)” - and I’m incredibly impressed! Keep up the good work!

Don’t you dare spend scores of millions of dollars on a pipeline for an industry that is on its way out! Invest in rail - expand long term capacity to carry goods and people across this great country from coast to coast to coast! Expand regulations to improve rail safety.
