I've had enough of MS BS. The last 3 or 4 years I've been using a hacked version of Win10 that only does updates when I allow it to. My eldest son said to me a couple of weeks ago that the next OS he installs will be Linux, Mint probably. Yeah me too. But SteamOS 4 is also on the horizon. 🙂

There are plenty of third party transparent controllers and handhelds.
