Went to 4 National Trust places before Christmas, only one had plain scones! ☹️

When they say “shutdown” they’ll still have to pay to keep the water warm, staff will still be going in to check the chlorine levels and clean and service the pumps, security will still have to check for break-ins. The only difference is it’ll make zero money and cost just as much to maintain…

I still don’t understand this, if only a quarter of the booking are from Bedford schools that must mean all the other bookings are paid by those other councils/schools. Plus their website details that’s it’s not just for schools but higher education and professional development to!
