Speculative fiction author (mostly science fiction and fantasy). Some of my favorite writers over the years have been Robert E. Howard, Philip K. Dick, Roger Zelazny, Stephen King, Elmore Leonard, Lawrence Block, and Michael Crichton.
Fingers crossed!

Definitely!

However, I’d recommend checking to see if Google takes books from aggregators. You’re probably best off simply applying directly.

Google is an odd one. I’ve heard plenty of folks griping that they can’t get onto the platform, but I lucked into it. They announced they were re-opening it for authors, I submitted, and I got in on my first try. It has been my #1 or #2 store for the last few years.

Kobo is not a predatory monopolist like Amazon. There is no exclusivity.

Kobo’s setup is among the easiest out there. Google Play’s is also easy.

Each retailer seems to have a different sort of audience. Non-Amazon stores take time to find that audience (assuming it’s there). Did you publish in Kobo Plus (their analog to Kindle Unlimited)? I make more from that than Kobo retail sales.
