Good luck! It’s a tough position to be in!

And document everything - if you think a feature needs testing but people say no, them document that. And that way, if the feature fails, you can point to that as a way to de-risk work.

Sometimes using language like de-risking can help too. No one wants risk in their work 😂

Maybe see if you can make a plan for it for future work? Add a day or two of buffer and have a customer or two lined up in advance, and how long it will take you to implement feedback. Try and work with the teams and let them know this will hell with AC and their stories.

Also ask engineers and devs how open they are to rework if they get it wrong loll I’ve found that’s a great forcing function. I don’t know if this is helpful?

Maybe start with something small here - a feature or a tiny moment of divergence. Highlighting the key workflow differences, and how no one at work knows the answer, and that a small moment of testing (15 minutes on a zoom call) with users can help provide clarity.

Also cool to see how close @sdw.bsky.social was with their design thought experiment!

Physicality: the new age of UI
There’s a lot of rumors of a big impending UI redesign from Apple. Let’s imagine what’s (or what could be) next for the design of iPhones, Macs and iPads.

However, I am really curious how Apple handles accessibility with the Liquid Glass effect. I recall in the past that Apple's really tried to make things show throw in side navs, but had to increase the opacity to make text legible.

I think my favorite part of the design film was when they showed someone from Apple physically moving a glass bubble over text to see how the text warped, and used that as inspiration for the magnifier within the system

@scanlon.house.gov Your staff was amazing! Super kind, polite, and willing to answer my questions! 12/10!
@davemccormick.bsky.social Answering machine was fine. 4/10
@fetterman.senate.gov Music was nice (because I like classical) but that's all I got. 1/10
We'll try the Senators again tomorrow!

They made it incredibly easy to find the relevant phone number, and follow a script. So thank you! Highly recommend if you are feeling like there's nothing you can do right now.

All in all, really happy with these headphones! Did a quick test, and even my wife was excited about them! I’ll try working out with them tomorrow on an indoor ride and see how they fare (I have a feeling they’ll fare perfectly well. The real test will be an outdoor ride but it’s too cold for that)

Also really really REALLY happy Beats fixed the biggest problem… how the headphones sit in the charging case. Magnets are way stronger in v2 as compared to the originals

Usually Apple gets these details right. Orange headphones but the product render is black…

That’s a nice touch! Unfortunate that you need to keep the whole box though if you want to save the extra ear bud tips

Loving this orange 😍

I think what really floored me was the resolution of the environment from the sensor scans
