Some of the changes I hated but overall I was really into it, I’ve decided to make a Darksides on it to talk about it a little more. Im editing the audio now for it

I still need to check out Iron Lung while I still can. I ended up catching Send Help instead but I need to get to it

Yeah! Let me know when you do, I’m excited to hear what you think of it

It makes some admittedly very very weird decisions, especially in the back half, but overall I really loved it for how different it is and the style of it I think is great. I hope you enjoy it!

Also, what do you mean you always know when a new Scream movie is coming out because of Melissa Barrera fans? This is the first one, that’s not how time works.

Always thought it was funny that Talladega Nights ended up being the first blu ray I ever owned, it came as a freebie back when the PS3 first came out

Thanks! I honestly still think so too. There were things that I obviously could have handled differently but I’ve always thought that in time it would become more apparent that a lot of things I was trying to talk about have a truth to them. People latch on to the last 30 minutes of a 3 hour video.

Scream 7 is the perfect example of what I was talking about in the now infamous video, where from a fandom perspective horror is the underdog and must be protected from criticism at all costs which creates a breeding ground for bad actors to basically do whatever they want.

The film was made entirely in his apartment, he slept on the sets that he hand built, and it was ripped from his control and released in an unfinished state without his name on it. He mostly stopped making art for decades after which is a massive tragedy.

Exactly! I think the hyper-reality kind of ruins it to a degree. And honestly isn’t even what Barker’s style is to me

Either way, this is far from something that this alone is guilty of. More of an industry wide problem it seems and I’m still excited for this project.

I don’t think realism has ever been important in horror. I’ve often felt that some of the most upsetting imagery are things that do not line up with traditional anatomy. So I find this trend to be very strange. Definitely not good for the mental health of artists/designers

Movie is a bit hit or miss, but I love the creature effects in this one

It really depends but usually not, sometimes I would though. Like someone recommended me recently to do the Teenage Apocalypse trilogy and I’d totally do that.

Weapons this year I think did a good job with showing a casually abusive cop. TCM2 I think features a cop that’s stepping way past his boundaries. Desperation by Stephen King is such a good example of this. Too many just use them to carry the plot.

The go to answer is always Songs of a Dead Dreamer and Grimscribe which are now published together as one book. I prefer Teatro Grottesco. His writing style changed as he got older and I think I like that late stage style in Grottesco more

Yeah! I do but it’s tricky to work some of them in because they are so long sometimes compared to some American franchises. Not all of them are like that though of course. I do want to branch out with that.

Yes, but not published. I got started creatively doing some fantasy/horror comics that were not good but were I think conceptually interesting. I’ve been working on a horror novel for the past five years, it’s close to finally being done. And the movie I’m shooting I wrote as well.

Oh 100%. The werewolf series I’m working on right now has some silent stuff in it
