Making some animations for a talk about superfluids and collective modes! Here's what happens when you give 'er a little twist:

I've been using Antigravity, Google's AI powered IDE, for the last week and I'm blown away by how much it has sped up my research. 🤯

I'm using it to do some tedious Bogoliubov-de Gennes calculations on a 2D lattice, and I've only had to make small corrections to its code so far.

Hello Bluesky, I just started a new position so I thought I'd break my looong hiatus: in November, I started working as an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at Uppsala University in Sweden 🇸🇪

You can find me in Prof. Annica Black-Schaffer's group, working on theories of unconventional superconductivity!

My current hobby is finding papers where (presumably devil-worshipping 😈) physicists investigate the material properties of Hell.

And I followed up by asking 'What type of solid is a dipolar supersolid?' based on our recent paper about supersonic shear waves (arxiv.org/abs/2410.16060).

I'll make a thread about this paper very soon!

@thomas-bland.bsky.social gave a comprehensive account of all the superfluid properties of the dipolar supersolids, including the newly published work on vortices in the supersolid! (www.nature.com/articles/s41...)

Hello bluesky from beautiful Heidelberg! 🏰 @thomas-bland.bsky.social and I were invited to give a couple of talks at the Center for Quantum Dynamics this week, and it was jam-packed with discussions about supersolids and ultracold quantum gases! 🔬⚛️
