I bet they reply that your marker pen writing has invalidated your claim, as the ink has somehow effected the longevity of the bulb. Or some other made up thing.

I would've kept Pulaski's involvement in the surgery (and also the Enterprise crew knowing) from Picard. But allow Picard to find out in a future ep and so to develop a higher degree of respect for Pulaski, and her professionalism.
