Remember my first flight in the 1960s when it meant a comfortable seat, decent food and courtious treatment. In the deregulated hellscape of contemporary air travel one has to put up with grumpy staff while jammed into tiny seats -- like sardines but we have to provide our own oil.

A pity all of this grandeur looks so different outside the padded walls of Trumps mind (?). The country is crumbling and he thinks its terrific. Bet his backers think so too. Wonder where his burgers will come from after its gone?

And he says this with a straight face? My head hurts. Besides, with the cutbacks in food inspection we don't need imported diseases, have more than enough domesticly.

What I have always found so bizarre about this issue is that anyone can shack up, produce kids, etc. But marriage in a legal sense is about liability and responsibility for future actions and has nothing to do with the multiplicity of gender identities involved (divorce decrees, prenups, etc).

Its not real money, its shares and share options in his own company. Stock prices sustained by his pie in the sky rhetoric, not actual earnings. Another in a golden age of fraud.

Not counting all the government workers... wonder if any of the minds(?) behind this consider the consequences, to say nothing of the subsequent costs. Heading into a stupid reprise of 1929, deliberately.

For someone healthy? Or just pretending to be alive?

Truer now than ever.

Unless the plan is a decapitation strike on the entirety of US military leadership in one big boom.

Have a backyard weather station... change is visible even in that if one looks at the data. Like many other things, IMHO, conservatives are choosing the most expensive path forward.

I preferred Trumpistan... but what he has done to the formerly serene and dignified Oval office is just sad.

Only when that crime mob is rounded up and removed from the White House. btw, putting troops in the cities might be a warmup to cancelling the election due to 'insurrection'.

He certainly is a legend in his own mind...

Easy to forget that its not a recreation as much as a lifetime commitment. And cheap kids make very expensive adults.

Here in Canada there are still doctors who do not recognize it as a real disease, just like the long term consequences of polio and (sadly) covid.

Suspect there will be a throne at one end of this new audience hall for the peons.

And demonstrating that in the end the US actually lost WW2 as the evils our parents fought against are now here and being applied to our fellow citizens.
July 14, 2025 at 12:37 PM
What our fathers fought for in WW2 is lost. The Fourth Reich is here.
July 2, 2025 at 12:36 PM
Maybe so, but over the last few decades we have seen this before from the GOP. Besides, the silence of Congress denotes consent...

Depends on what their actual job description is, not the job description for former occupants of that post. If the objective is to reduce the US to a 3rd world s***hole country, they all appear superb at their jobs.
