Reports of electricity inflows to EU assign the origin of electricity to the last non-EU transit country, rather than the actual producer. Because it may be difficult to distinguish transit flows from actual exports, CBAM costs could be high for Balkan countries due to their high transit flows. 3/3

According to an Energy Community-report, these countries are far away from integration into SDAC or SIDC market coupling. Due to the higher emission intensity of their electricity production or largely absent carbon pricing/ETS, electricity flows to EU will be subject to CBAM from 2026 onwards. 2/3

The new ACER 'Progress of EU electricity wholesale market integration report' discusses the decoupling of EPEX SPOT from market coupling auctions on day-ahead markets on 25 June 2024. The decoupling resulted from a technical incident and led to a sharp increase of electricity prices in AT & DE.

In der Periode Mai-Aug 2025 gab es für die Gebotszone Österreich im Großhandel 263h mit negativen Strompreisen und weitere 416h mit Preisen < 5 EUR/MWh. Tendenz. ist Anzahl an Stunden mit neg. Preisen steigend. Neben hoher PV-Einspeisung steckt auch strategisches Bietverhalten der Erzeuger dahinter.

Connecting distributional data to national accounts shows further progress: next to recommend. in the updated SNA2025, there is also progress within the DGI-3 on household consumption, income & savings as well as on household wealth (OECD DHW). The ECB has also published a new paper on this topic.

Die hohen Bankgewinne werden ua aus Zinszahlungen der OeNB auf Bankeinlagen gespeist. Der, auch damit verbundene, Verlust der OeNB wird '24 vmtl geringer ausfallen als '23 (Präs JahrErgebnis Ende März). Eine Einschätzung dazu und welche Rolle Bargeld dabei spielt

Eurosystem-Bilanz zum 17.01.2025: Während Wertpapiere, die zu geldpolitischen Zwecken gehalten wurden, auslaufen und aus der Bilanz fallen, gibt es seit einiger Zeit höhere Anschaffungen von sonstigen Wertpapieren.

Eurosystem-Bilanz zum 17.01.2025: Während Wertpapiere, die zu geldpolitischen Zwecken gehalten wurden, auslaufen und aus der Bilanz fallen, gibt es seit einiger Zeit höhere Anschaffungen von sonstigen Wertpapieren.
Diesbezüglich gibts eine recht informative Grafik aus einer Publikation der EZB & EIOPA, die das Problem der Zukunft ganz gut ausdrückt. Steigende Kosten und niedrige coverages, vor allem wenn das Einkommen berücksichtigt wird. www.eiopa.europa.eu/publications...

Wer sind die Gläubiger österreichischer Staatsanleihen? Der Marktwert der vom Sektor Staat (nach ESVG) emittierten verzinslichen Wertpapiere betrug Ende d 2.Quartals 2024 rund 336 Mrd EUR. Rund 127 Mrd EUR davon wurden von inländischen Gläubigersektoren gehalten, rund 209 Mrd EUR von ausländischen.
