Every tech who approaches cybersecurity with a “move fast and break things” attitude should spend a few weeks in the machinist world.

Lines of code have consequences.

Some rules are written for the convenience of the powerful, and some rules are written in blood- and you must be know which.

“Why does the parking lot exit have a dedicated lane to continue in a loop back to the company?”

We could use a base PIN number system and it would be very easy to exactly represent pi.

It is just that everything else would be much harder.

Just a note- it’s the Twitter version of grok that thinks Elon is the greatest.

The web version is slightly less sycophantic

Always small.

Positive when applied to living beings.

Negative when applied to things.

You gotta ask yourself “did I drop five vouchers for cognitive behavioral therapy, or did I drop six?”

Ask yourself if you’re feeling lucky, punk

DoD CISO: that’s all? That’s all the product does? That’s it? And it costs 700k?

Vendor: Yes. StreetRam uses top level ai to scan your infrastructure for sticks of ram that your employees found in the parking lot and then installed in their machines.

Soc analyst sticks head in: got another one

The flaw in your argument is that we SHOULDNT make exceptions for the people on the sec of state staff.

The correct answer to “you handle a lot of sensitive info all the time…” is not “… so you don’t need to be watched.”

The solution is to get right, not make exceptions.

*looks at 40 foot sign saying “Do Not Enter”*

“Yeah, back on the farm we don’t even /have/ lanes, we just use the whole road.”

“But here…” *shakes head and sneers* “there is so much bureaucracy and rules and regulations.”

*looks at 10 lane highway full of rush hour traffic*

“Just let me drive!”

As a liberal, it’s hard to express how owned I feel each time I see that.

For a brief period of my military career (all of it) I would sleep in my uniform so that I could sleep in longer. This improved the efficiency of my morning routine.

We learn the reason why her high school ex boyfriend hates her big-city lawyer fiancee-

The case the lawyer is working will shutdown “the plant”! (Also the case is so big that’s why the lawyer is too busy to celebrate Christmas)

Turns out it’s class action- the plant is poisoning the whole county

A man who saw a vulnerable group, a needy group, a desperate group and said-

Exactly.

Liberals think that just because the Right supports masked secret police grabbing undesirables off the streets so they can be sent to work camps that this means they would have supported Hitler.

I agree.

A wise man once said: “The only thing necessary for the defeat of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

Historically, we can see that the most effective tactic to prevent nazis or genocide is to simply ignore them until it goes away on its own.
