That's true and that's the way to handle it. Genetic mutations are on the rise in the population and we don't know why. Keep it simple. But we met classic Beast in a different timeline so idk. I been wanting a proper Marvel X-Men since 1999 and they keep reheating these Fox leftovers. Frustrating.

I also don't like the idea that they come from another dimension or alternate earth or whatever. The allegory doesn't work unless mutants are born here, with the same rights as any natural born citizen. Anything less makes them aliens and that helps justify why a society would "fear and hate" them.
