Thanks for the great question! Locating preprints has become much easier thanks to open science infrastructure.
People always find preprints through: academic search engines like Google Scholar, database aggregators like Web of Science, or direct browsing preprints servers like Preprints.org.

Preprints help you fulfill the two main stages of establishing priority of discovery:

1️⃣ Disclosure: Get a public timestamp on your work immediately.
2️⃣ Validation: Provide an open framework for community feedback.
