its just fiddly to setup because you have to mess with fstab which is very scary for most (if you do end up working with fstab the "nofail" flag is helpful because it wont prevent you from booting)

Especially if you just want to get back to your projects and use your computer without fuss. but its super worth it imo
I fully switched a year ago and it took me like... a month maybe to be fully comfortable again, and only had downtime for a week or so

Winboat runs really well in my experience but its super heavy resource wise (running a Windows VM)
the slow and painful process to Linux native applications might be ideal in the long run
