Many don’t realize the time that goes into hand-dyed yarn because we show things at Mach 3 on social media posts. Clownfish, shown here, is one of my most time consuming colours with multiple stages to get it right. I adore the end result but it does take an element of patience to get there.

The class so nice we did it twice! This week I taught 18 people across two days to felt a little chickadee at Wild Birds Unlimited in Barrie & Newmarket! It was a great group and everyone was well on their way to having a new bird friend at the end! Stay tuned for more classes this year!y 🧶

Regarding tariffs:

Due to the de minimus exception, orders under $800 USD are not currently affected. With our Canadian dollar currently down, it’s a great time for US friends to shop Canadian.

This situation is ever-changing but I will do my best to continue to update you.

Notes from strangers at grocery store cafes might be my new favourite love letter from the universe. What a kind message during a time that seems to need more of that. 💕

Yarn is new to the shop, Estelle Linocott, that I’m test driving into a Battenberg Bag for an upcoming class. 🧶
A plum cake of yarn is being worked up into a granny square and laid against a carriera marble look countertop. The square has a little stitch marker with a toast and heart shaped egg as the charm. In the top right is a note with gerbera daisies printed on it and it reads “Thinking of you. Dear Woman, I hope you have an amazing and beautiful day. You very beautiful inside and out. This afternoon I accompanied my kiddo to their library d&d club. For two hours they fought monsters and nerded out with their friends, while I sat at a table knitting away on my Fossil Frenzy Jr Tee while listening to Fourth Wing. Turns out, an afternoon in a library is perfection for both of us.

In 2024 I vended at more shows, taught more classes, finished more samples, dyed more yarn, and did more pop ups than ever. I’m so proud of my accomplishments.

This year I hope to scale up & have my yarn in brick & mortar yarn shop & teach more classes! Happy 2025! 🧶
