If you happen to see this post, I'd prefer to not have my feed filled with "my condolences" or "sorry for your loss". Hugs are much appreciated. Virtual or otherwise. I've felt pretty alone in all of this. (3/3)

My dad passed away last month, and it still hurts. This new tattoo is loosely inspired by one he had.

I wasn't sure if I was going to announce his death on social media, but there's so many people I haven't told yet, and I don't have the mental capacity to reach out individually. (2/3)

The most common interpretation of the symbol is Athena's spear, but some do think that the undeniable similarity to the Venus symbol may signify the male aspects of Athena's character.

The symbol is actually from the 1800s. It was given to the Pallas asteroid post discovery. Athena is sometimes given the surname Pallas in literature, which is why the asteroid and symbol are associated with her.

Also the asteroid symbol does not signify Athena's "sheild" it's her fucking spear.

Also, it takes one Google search to find that aspects of Ancient Greece did not conform to traditional gender roles.

The symbol she is trying to use dates back to the 1800s, shortly after the discovery of the Pallas asteroid.

Can we please leave things alone that have nothing to do with spreading hate?
