There is a path to citizenship. Most people don't qualify for it. Enforcing the current law isn't evil. We have a democracy. If you can get the votes you can change the law. Defying the law when you don't have the votes to change it is undemocratic.

I took my kids to the county health Dept
I claimed my income and paid my share. Watched a very nice immigrant guy claim infinite dependants get the services for free. If I had claimed some imaginary dependants I would have gotten the services free too.
This is what you are advocating for.

The one brings the other. Letting people sneak in complicates life for the least of these. Your mercy for people who broke the law coming in is cruelty for the poor. But you seem to speak from a privileged POV if you haven't noticed that. Maybe you are not working for minimum wage
