Sounds like she was up for a fight anyway, that's good.

It would be very pleasing to do a line extension in New Jersey, and I think that @uckema.com believes there is potential demand for trains out there...I have to think that this is a particularly bleak time to be trying to complete an infrastructure project though.

Saw the photo on Facebook and had to share. So pretty and seasonal!!

Paulinkskill Viaduct in New Jersey. Part of the Lackawanna Cutoff. "When completed in 1910, it was the largest reinforced concrete structure in the world." Soon to reopened for trains.

I can never forget that this man said he found it "exhausting" that Winona Ryder wanted to have sex all the time when they were together.

Based on the reporting it sounds like the NJ gubernatorial debate tonight was a sh!tshow that will change nobody's mind. Just as well that almost nobody will have watched it!

Lots of the WMATA Metrorail system was built after the 1970s. I wonder to what extent were those principles incorporated into the design of the later phases?

omg, the actual press release!
"AB 1264 is the first law of its kind in the nation and builds on California’s long record of leading with children’s health and well-being at the forefront. While Washington debates how to ‘make America healthy again,’ they need not look any further than California."

imho the whole "ultraprocessed food" freakout is very close to MAHA.

That only gets you to Medical Center though. Further up than that, you are hosed.

It's not confounding if you assume that many of the Rs in Hamilton have already transitioned to Toms River and onto Florida.

I've been out of DC for 13 years now but when I saw that service adjustment, my first thought was "RideOn Route 34".

I actually know the guy who used to be the lead organizer for the Mercer County GOP, and he told me that when they put up yard signs, they just said stuff like "Lower Taxes - Vote Column B", because they weren't sure if they would be able to get Republican candidates, and the GOP brand was so toxic.

Outside chance he just flips to being a Republican himself.

He's probably going to lose re-election and be replaced by a Republican. I don't know if that's better or worse.

15? lol.
they should really be contesting 16 though. As recently as 2015 they had a lock on that district.

Losing hope for humanity, if I ever had it...

My god he is such a clown and an opportunist. Cranbury is an outrageous example of exclusionary zoning, to show up there for a photo op and rant against affordable housing is pretty disgusting.
