I just wouldn’t call it a live play. If anything, it was a choose your own adventure with grossly oversimplified ‘gameplay’.

“We’re going to play D&D on stage!” You’re not, though 🤷🏻‍♀️

For the money I spent to go, I’d rather just go see a liveplay. Also improv with potentially rotating casts, that are at least direct about what they are.

I didn’t have an issue with the improv. I just think it fell flat, and if you’re going to market a show for audience participation, don’t nerf the audience participation that could actually have an impact (the reroll, which our audience was never allowed to use despite asking for it several times)

It really is the best. I get WFH on Fridays and I’m just like call me if you need me. But don’t need me.
