There's an assist mode is you really really need it otherwise anyone can pick up the game on normal or hard difficulty for story mode

Having experienced a (pretty bad) artifical coma myself, this game single-handedly made me realise that isekai animes were most likely the writers' own recollections of artificial comas or psychedelics for some if not most of them.

The NPCs in the street before the checkpoint in episode 1 are some of the most important characters in the game. Beat was dating one of the bandmates irl. Beat's a stand-in for Quaver's dad. A quaver being a half-beat is narratively humorous.

Beatrice was in an artificial coma and that was her dream. The original soundtrack from [white label] was about an actual toxic relationship and was recontextualized to be about the loss of Beat's mother in story mode. UNBEATABLE can refer to the heart after death (HEARTBREAK) and late-stage cancer.
