In my culture my grandfather used to put some food out for the “spirits” and then he would say Mitakuye Oyasin which translated means We are all related. This ethos was imprinted on me that I was a part of everything ❤️

Here in South Dakota July is usually hot and dry, it’s almost the end of July and we just got an inch of rain last night and temperatures are in the high 40’s. While we appreciate the rains as it dampens our fire season we keep saying the weather is so weird right now.

My son who was a Marine had the honor of being a protective guard to a chaplain in Iraq during the war. The chaplain was a Quaker and he was such a calm, peaceful influence on my son during a chaotic, uncertain time.
