Retired from UC Irvine. I worked with smart people who won Nobel Prizes and with Peter Navarro too. I learned things. I taught things. I built things. It was nice.

Pro-democracy by default.
The one thing that actual real Libertarians (read:TechBros) actually really hate and despise and rail against.

The art of the lede that tells the actual story is very lost.

The art of using a photo of cotton fields an article about black farmers that doesn’t tell the story in the headline is… typical, and possibly AI generated.

In my opinion.

Thanks. The lede should be black farmers don’t think they’re going to get the money.

I stopped reading NPR articles a while ago when I realized they are RWNJ lite.

I was flabbergasted by a picture of a cotton field to signify black farmers…a low blow that plays well to certain groups.

A) I’m shocked Black farmers think they’re going to get one thin dime.

B) Cotton? A cotton field. Because that’s the only thing Black people can farm?

What the hell is wrong with you?

When they asked what size his head was, he told her it was a giant head and so they gave him a giant hat and now he looks like a giant asshole.

The biggest problem with this take is that Kkkaroline feels absolutely nothing.

Did Hitler pardon himself and his crew? Would that have worked?

I will not be shocked when one of these crowds beats the fuck out of a couple of clowns like this.

But it’s a cult, and the people in the cult are not going to change.

My mom is 86 and has late stage dementia.

When she texts me about anything, it includes information about her (former) dog, peanut butter, two cans of Febreze spray and three or four other things she can’t let go that always make it into whatever thing she’s talking about and trying to get across

I should start posting texts from my 86-year-old mom in late stage dementia to show how similar they are to this.

Floating helplessly in the water on top of a capsized boat is exactly the same thing… floating helplessly on a chunk of the boat that got missile blown up is exactly the same thing… floating helplessly in the water clinging to a piece of debris. It’s exactly the same thing….

The fact that the election after that could go the other way and turn everything upside down again is why the rest of the world is walking away from us. Running away.

Because they care more about money than telling the truth.

That’s the bottom line for every one that doesn’t speak back and for every organization that doesn’t print the truth.
