I think most amateur/non-professional Adobe users should be able to switch no issues. Of course that is a different situation for professionals. If you do drawing, Procreate might be more your thing. Animation is still lacking with Affinity.

Personally, I have never had any shortcomings with AF Photo. I also liked Publisher more than InDesign.

That's what I think the biggest strength is with Affinity, the ease of use and simplicity of doing stuff, where Adobe hides everything in weird submenus.
That and the cost of course (and the AI)

I never used Adobe products to the point of being a power user, but I feel like the learning experience with Affinity has been wayy easier. I think Affinity is still missing some of the stuff the Adobe counterparts offer, but that is not surprising seeing that Adobe has been around for way longer.

Affinity Photo is really good, imo easier than Photoshop (though maybe not yet as feature complete). Same for Designer against Illustrator and Publisher against InDesign. Maybe not for everyone, but definitely worth the try.

I'm afraid I am gonna have to buy Valheim just to figure out their build system 😅. From what I've read it is quite cool...
