I just started reading Ten Incarnations of Rebellion by Vaishnavi Patel and have been enjoying it so far!
It’s set in an alternate timeline where India did not gain independence from the British in 1947. The pub date is on June 3rd, 2025

In honor of #booktok, what is a book you found because of BookTok that ended up being a 5 ⭐️ read?
Hijab Butch Blues by Lamya H. It’s a beautifully written and poignant memoir about the authors’ experiences as a queer, hijabi immigrant. Highly recommend this to everyone! #booksky #diversebooks

Finished reading this arc of Immaculate Conception by Ling Ling Huang and wow. This is a book that I’ll be thinking about for a while.
Follows a borderline obsessive (and extractive?) friendship between two art students. It explores themes around jealousy & usage of technology/genAI in the arts

“Weird Fishes” by Rae Mariz.
I’d describe this as an underwater fantasy novella from the perspective of deep sea creatures. It explores themes of climate change & friendship. It was such a beautiful read and is a book I think about often.
(Please make sure to check tw though!)
