I plugged a new mixer into my pc and have been listening to apple music lossless tunes on it and it sounds _so much_ better than plugging into the pc headphone jack it is not even funny. Miles different, it's wild.

The huge breakthrough in this space is a combination of being able to pack a huge number of gates on a device for parallel processing along with incredibly fast throughputs to memory and between similar nodes to build out massive parallel compute. With nigh unlimited compute a lot becomes possible!
