I feel like there is specifically an “in” with characters like Vox who would never want anyone to be superior to them, or Lute who would never submit to (what she sees as) evil; they would never accept Roo enveloping the world in eternal darkness or whatever

the two ideas don’t really contradict; everyone frees Charlie from whatever physical or mental constraint she’s under, and as soon as she’s free she starts jumping Carmen Sandiego JJK style
